Yerba Mate (Roasted)-

(llex paraguariensis)

1oz.

 

Traditionally used: to enhance mental clarity, focus, alertness, and concentration as it contains caffeine. Mild stimulant without the jitters; contains a good amount of vitamins and minerals, such as polyphenols and antioxidants.  A nerve tonic for pain, fatigue, and depression, beneficial to weight loss, and can help with allergies and sinus conditions. A favorite drink in South America! Caution during pregnancy!

Honeybush Red Tea-

(Cyclopia intermedia)

1oz.

 

Traditionally used: From South Africa, the leaves and stems of this shrub are used to make this light floral and sweet like honey tea.  One teaspoon makes a nice 6-8oz beverage. Honeybush tea does not contain Caffeine. It contains antioxidants and immune boosting components May be good for: digestion, diabetes management, skin heath, and cellular strength.

Rooibos Red Tea-

1 oz.

(Aspalathus linearis)

Origin: South Africa

 

Rooibos tea (aka as Red bush Tea) - Excellent source of antioxidants and low in tannins This great tasting red tea is good for heart health due to the fact that it contains Angiorensin-converting enzyme that increases blood pressure by causing your blood vessels. Also possibly improves cholesterol levels. Antioxidants Quercetin and luteolin could kill cancer cells and prevent tumor growth. Helps balance blood sugar. Caffeine Free.

 Add 2 teaspoons of tea leaves per cup of water.

Steep tea in Hot water for 3-5 minutes.  

Oolong Tea-

(Camellia sinensis)

Origin: China

Oolong tea combines the benefits of dark and green teas- aids stress relief, weight loss, heart health , and improves brain function. Contains small amounts of calcium, magnesium, potassium; antioxidants known as tea polyphenols– theaflavins, thearubigins, and EGCG. Also contains L-theanine an amino acid that helps cognition and relaxation.  Contains C affeine.

 Add 2 teaspoons of tea leaves per cup of water.

Steep tea in Hot water for 3-4 minutes.  

Chai Tea-

1oz.

(Black BOP Teas, Cinnamon, Ginger,

Cardamom, Cloves, Pepper)

 

Add 2 teaspoons of chai per cup of  water. Steep tea in boiling water and then let simmer for 5 minutes or longer. Strain, Add hot milk, and sweeten to taste. 

Turmeric Golden Chai Tea-

1oz.

(Turmeric, Cinnamon, Ginger, Pepper)

 

Add a tablespoons of chai per cup of milk. Bring to a light boil then let simmer for several minutes. Strain, and sweeten to taste. Coconut milk or Almond Milk works well.
